NCR closes acquisition of Retalix

NCR has finalised the acquisition of Israeli retail software and services provider Retalix for US$650 million or US$30.00 per Retalix share.
Retalix has now become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ohio-based company, after the deal was first announced in November 2012.
The company’s software and services are deployed in over 70,000 retail locations with more than 400,000 customer touch points in over 50 countries.

NCR Its customers include Tesco, which is the world's second largest retailer, and US retailer Target.

Both NCR and Retalix work closely with Microsoft, using the Redmond-based company's technology in many of its solutions.
In October 2012, Retalix was named Microsoft Alliance ISV 2012 industry partner of the year for the retail sector for the second consecutive year.
