PDT Europe 2013 will look into state of the art integrated engineering environments in industries such as aerospace and defence, automotive, high tech, energy and building construction.

The capabilities of standards such as STEP, PLCS and AP233 will be explored as enablers for change and business benefits will be presented.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Anders Romare vice president, engineering solutions at Airbus
  • Peter Bilello, president CIMdata
  • Dr Marc Halpern, VP research, Gartner
  • Martin Eigner Prof. h.c. (mult), Dr.-Ing. , Institute for Virtual Product Engineering, Technical University of Kaiserslautern.

PDT Europe started in 1992 as a project sponsored by the European Commission and initiated by Prof. Horst Nowaki (Technical University, Berlin) as a communications place for like-minded European specialists in the then emerging field of product data technologies.

It was then managed by Bill Mesley of Quality Marketing Services in the UK. Eurostep has run the event since 2004.

Sponsors have included not only organisations such as the European Commission and the European Space Agency but also leading European manufacturers, such as BMW, Shell and Fiat-CRF.
