Identify launches AppSight Black Box 5.5

Identify Software has unveiled AppSight 5.5, the latest version of the company's flagship product which captures transaction execution on clients, Web servers, and application servers

The upgrade reinforces Identify's leadership in addressing application problem resolution throughout the application lifecycle, in all common computing environments.

By using the AppSight analysis console, application support and development teams can now view a playback of user actions and "follow in the footsteps" of an individual transaction - from the client to the Web server and into tiered application servers. Once the problem area is identified, AppSight drills down to system-level and code-level execution history for rapid root cause determination. The enhancements complement AppSight's existing ability to eliminate root cause analysis time by up to 80 per cent and reduce application support costs by nearly 60 per cent in heterogeneous environments.

"Organisations have come to realise that streamlining the traditionally cumbersome process of application problem resolution can provide them with a tremendous business advantage," said Identify CEO Yochi Slonim. "AppSight not only allows IT teams to capture and pinpoint problems quickly and intuitively, but its ease-of-deployment and ability to function in heterogeneous environments makes it the most flexible solution available today."
